The WBC16 congress will be a major event for all experts from industry, public sector and academia to advance the development of built environments. The main mission of WBC16 is to gather together the best experts around the world to provide top-level and highly value-adding contributions for the development of built environments. The main theme of the WBC16 is ”Intelligent built environment for life”.
This presents a cogent message that the built environment is a very important enabler for the well-being of its citizens, the success of its companies and the competitiveness of whole society, region or country.
Sub themes of the congress are
1. Creating built environments of new opportunities
2. Regarding nature and outdoor conditions
3. Building up business operations and their logic
4. Advancing products and services
5. Understanding impacts and functioning of different solutions
6. Constructing commitment and acknowledging human experiences
7. Shaping materials and technologies
We call for contributions both from academia and industry. All academia abstracts and full paper submissions will be double blind reviewed by leading experts. We will also cooperate with several recognized scientific journals to publish a good share of papers in WBC16 special issues or regular issues of journals in question. The industry contributions shall be reviewed by the organizing committee. All accepted academic and industry contributions will be published in the conference proceedings.
